Last week, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services approved the managed care waivers the state of Florida was hoping for. In a letter dated February 1, 2013, CMS approved the state’s plan to require mandatory enrollment of individuals into managed care plans statewide. The waivers are effective for the three year period beginning July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016. We are concerned about how this change will affect our clients and will be posting more details as the waiver is rolled out across the state.
